BiH Minister: State Department’s Report on Investment Climate is inaccurate

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Staša Košarac, pointed out that the State Department’s report on the investment climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina “is completely inaccurate and general, and proves that the USA continues to act uncritically on the misinformation provided by the American Embassy in Sarajevo and Ambassador Michael Murphy “.

Košarac said that the issue of state property was resolved by the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of BiH and that, as he stated, “all property on the territory of Republika Srpska belongs exclusively to Republika Srpska”.

“BiH has no property. That is the only truth. All other claims are false and represent a gross attack on Dayton and the Constitution,” wrote Košarac on “Instagram”.

He stated that the tendentious claims about the unconstitutional actions of the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the unfavorable investment climate in the Republika Srpska are “a hostile act of the US Embassy in BiH”.

“Who gave them the mandate to spread falsehoods?! We recognized their bad intentions and constant aspirations to politically condition the leadership of Srpska. Their perfidious, untrue and speculative intention to stop investments in Republika Srpska is visible. But they will not succeed!”, he said.

He added that Republika Srpska has a responsible leadership and will successfully finish the financial year, thanks to friends in the region, Europe and the world.

“Implementation of projects in Srpska such as Buk Bijela HPP, Mrsovo HPP, Hrgud Wind Power Plant, Eastern Gas Interconnection, Banjaluka-Prijedor highway, and a number of other infrastructure projects will in the best way deny the false and malicious claims of ill-intentioned Western embassies led by the American one” , concluded Košarac.
