BiH National Team in Sitting Volleyball is traveling to the World Championship in China

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in sitting volleyball will travel to China’s Hangzhou China on Saturday, where they will compete in the World Championship.

The gathering of the national team is planned for Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Sarajevo International Airport, from where BiH will depart for Dubai on that flight at 2:00 p.m.

After a short stay in the United Arab Emirates, the national team will continue its journey to Hangzhou, the host of the World Cup.

Selector Ifet Mahmutović selected 14 players for the World Cup: Safet Alibasic, Nizam Čančar, Stevan Crnobrnja, Mirzet Duran, Edin Đino, Ismet Godinjak, Dževad Hamzić, Ermin Jusufović, Adnan Manko, Asim Medić, Alen Prašović, Elvis Šerifović, Armin Šehić and captain Sabahudin Delalić.
The professional staff of the national team consists of selector Ifet Mahmutović, assistant coaches Ejub Mehmedović and Nedžad Salkić, economist Tarik Smailbegović, president of the Association of Sitting Volleyball of Bosnia and Herzegovina Hajrudin Zekić and team manager Dino Šečić.

At the World Cup, Bosnia and Herzegovina will compete in Group D, together with the national teams of Japan, Iran and Poland. Bh. the team’s first match will be against Japan on July 10, followed by a duel with current world and Paralympic champion Iran a day later, while the group stage will conclude with a match against Poland on July 12.

According to the provisions of the competition, all national teams advance to the knockout stage, but the placement in the group will determine the opponent in the round of 16.

Before going to the World Cup, members of the delegation of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they were received by Ambassador Li Fan.

During the reception, they discussed the trip of the Bosnia and Herzegovina team and the upcoming appearance at the World Cup, as well as the readiness of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to provide support and help in the successful implementation of the trip and stay of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team in China.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is traveling to China with great ambitions and the desire to once again present Bosnia and Herzegovina with dignity on the world’s biggest sports scene.
