SONY DSCMembers of the BiH delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Borjana Krišto, Ismeta Dervoz, Nermina Kapetanović, Krunoslav Vrdoljak, Boško Tomić and Mladen Bosić spoke yesterday with the rapporteur monitoring committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Egidijus Vareikis and the Head of the Secretariat of the monitoring committee Caroline Ravaud.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Mission of the Council of Europe to BiH Mary Ann Hennessey.

Rapporteurs of the monitoring committee have expressed interest in implementing the ruling in the “Sejdić- Finci” case, and the future steps of the BiH Parliament in order to resolve the issue of a unique identification number of the citizens, as well as the reactions that in BIH challenged the amendment by member of the European Parliament Doris Pack on the Resolution of the European Parliament on the progress of BiH.

Members of the delegation of the BiH Parliament in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe informed the rapporteurs that despite the different views on certain political issues in BIH, there is agreement on the necessity of implementing the judgment, as well as the necessity of reaching an agreement on all contentious issues that are an impediment for BIH’s path to European integration, announced the BiH Parliament.
