5770f38d-4ec4-4b11-b8c4-507a0a0a0a80-predsjednistvo-bih-2016-700x402At yesterday’s session, Presidency of BiH adopted the amendments to the Master Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding its European path.

BiH Presidency member Dragan Čović stated that the Master Plan was adopted unanimously, with certain annexes “that lead BiH to the position of having the candidate status in the European Union by the end of next year”.

According to Čović, members of the Presidency have defined the activities that have to be done very precisely.

“When it comes to Stabilization and Association Agreement, we did our part and the EU should do its part by the end of November. Until then, we will receive the questionnaire. Of course, there will be some additional questions,” Čović said.

Čović added that they believe these questions should be answered by the end of March next year and “depending on the additional questions, to answer those additional questions by the end of May or June next year”.

“Regarding the liabilities that the EU has clearly imposed on us again, such as the decision by the Strasbourg Court in the case Sejdić-Finci, we have also defined precisely the deadline for their completion. The deadline is the beginning of next year,” Čović stated.

Čović noted that deadlines are quite tight, but absolutely executable, regarding the BiH institutions.
