The Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, met in Dayton with a delegation from the US Congress, led by Congressman Mike Turner.

During the meeting with the congressmen, Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction with the approach of the new US administration and the performance of the highest US officials, who encourage independent decision-making by democratically elected leaders. BHRT banner campaignBHRT subscription

She stressed that from the US, which established the Dayton system, we do not expect favoritism, but a fair and balanced approach towards everyone.

She said that “the Dayton Agreement never gave the right to an unelected foreigner to impose laws, suspend constitutions, punish political parties and, through the abuse of the judiciary, democratically elected leaders who oppose his dictates”.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH emphasized that “the representatives of Republika Srpska are not separatists, but defenders of the constitution”.

She emphasized that external pressures are an obstacle to both the economic and democratic development of BiH.
