BiH Presidency Member requests the Dismissal of BiH Ambassador to the UN

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović requested that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina put the dismissal of Zlatko Lagumdžija from the position of Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN on the agenda at the next regular session.

It should be pointed out that the removal of ambassadors, as well as the appointment, requires the consensus of all members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that this initiative has no prospects of success.

Representatives from Republika Srpska are dissatisfied with Lagumdžija’s participation in drafting the resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, which the UN General Assembly will vote on on May 2.

Namely, they believe that Lagumdžija violated his powers.

Cvijanović submitted a request for the dismissal of Lagumdžija, but did not respond to the statement of the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Poland, Koviljka Špirić, who said that the “Serbian ambassadors” from Bosnia and Herzegovina will act independently because “the red line was crossed” with the resolution on Srebrenica and that it is not important whether it be adopted or not, Klix.ba reports.
