Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Zeljka Cvijanovic said yesterday in Doboj that the protest of Republika Srpska (RS) citizens is just a general rehearsal for what may follow if, as she said, “they continue to harass the institutions and citizens of RS.”
“This is just a general rehearsal for what may follow if they continue to mistreat us. They mistreat us when they do not allow the National Assembly of the RS (NARS) to do its job because it is the Assembly that passes laws, and when they do not allow the President of the RS to do his job, to sign decrees and promulgate laws,” Cvijanovic pointed out.
She again questioned the legitimacy of High Representative Christian Schmidt and added that the president of the RS cannot be held accountable for a “non-existent criminal act”.
“He has no authority for that. We are here to show that we are fed up with this injustice that we have been facing all these years. Many Serbs lived in the Federation of BiH (FBiH) which acquired their pension right there and could never realize it. They moved to RS and were received by our Pension Insurance Fund,” Cvijanovic added.
“This is a general rehearsal and if necessary, we will fight in every possible democratic and legal way for what are our institutional rights,” she repeated.
She pointed out that those gathered yesterday were defending the institution of the president of the RS because they were “fed up with the fact that every president of the RS has been sanctioned by someone.”
It should be recalled that yesterday in Istocno Sarajevo several hundred citizens gathered, in Lopare there were significantly fewer, while in Doboj more than a thousand citizens gathered.
Those gathered wore t-shirts of the mercenary organization Wagner Group, and flags with the image of Vladimir Putin and Milorad Dodik. The protests were organized because the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an indictment against Milorad Dodik and Milos Lukic, Klix.ba reports.
