The value of the export of milk and milk products in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year amounted to 131 million BAM, which is 14.38 percent more than the previous year, while the import of these products was 230.5 million BAM and is higher by 2. 29 percent compared to 2022.
The total turnover of the foreign trade exchange of milk and milk products in 2023 amounted to 361.5 million BAM, while the coverage of imports by exports amounted to 57 percent, announced the Chamber of Foreign Trade of BiH.
If we look at the amount of milk exported from Bosnia and Herzegovina last year, it is higher by 0.93 percent compared to the previous year, and there was also a quantitative increase in the export of butter by 70.09 percent, fermented program by 18.34 percent, and cheese 7.55 percent, it was stated in the Chamber’s analysis.
“The continuous gradual increase in the annual export of these products, i.e. products with added value, is a significant indicator of the development of this sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the Chamber pointed out.
The most important export markets were Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, and North Macedonia, while the largest imports were from Germany, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Hungary.
