BiH records Twenty Percent Increase in Tourist Arrivals

The total number of tourist arrivals in the Federation of BiH in May 2023 was 117,510, which is 20.4 percent more compared to May 2022, and 40.9 percent more compared to April 2023.

The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of tourist arrivals in May was 27.6 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists was 72.4 percent.

The number of overnight stays by tourists in FBiH in May 2023 was 225,503, which is 14 percent more compared to May 2022, and 43.5 percent higher compared to April 2023. The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays in May was 27.7 percent, and the participation of foreign tourists was 72.3 percent, announced the FBiH Statistics Bureau.

In terms of overnight stays of foreign tourists, the highest number of overnight stays in May were realized by tourists from Turkey (9.9 percent), Croatia (8.7 percent), Germany (6.2 percent), Serbia (5.9 percent) and the USA (4. 8 percent) which is a total of 35.5 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 64.5 percent of overnight stays, Fena reports.
