Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO and Director of NATO Operations, Burcu San, visited the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, where she met with Minister Selmo Cikotic.
They discussed future cooperation and strengthening of relations between NATO and the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Cikotic assessed that it is extremely important that Bosnia and Herzegovina joined the group of strategically important NATO partners at the last summit of the NATO alliance in Madrid,” the statement of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina states.
Cikotic pointed out that such a strategic commitment by NATO will significantly improve relations and increase the extent of cooperation and support to date in strengthening the defense and security capacities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The importance of continuing to strengthen the capacities of civil protection structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as capacities in the field of cyber security, was emphasized.
