Following the serious train accident in the province of Toledo, Spain, numerous telegrams of condolence were sent from our country to King Felipe VI of Spain, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, President of the Congress of Deputies Francina Armengol, and the families of the victims.

“In these difficult moments, I express sincere solidarity with the friendly people of the Kingdom of Spain. Bosnia and Herzegovina stands in sympathy with your nation and its citizens,” stated Denis Bećirović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Željko Komšić, a member of the Presidency of BiH, stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina stands with friendly Spain and its people.

“We express our solidarity and sincere support to all those affected by this tragedy,” he said.

“Our thoughts are with the families of the victims, for whom this tragic event has caused an irreparable loss, as well as with all those injured – wishing them a swift and successful recovery,” stated Željka Cvijanović, a member of the Presidency of BiH.

Denis Zvizdić, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, stated:

“Our thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones, with those injured, and with all the rescue teams who are making superhuman efforts to provide assistance.”

Borjana Krišto (HDZ BiH), Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, conveyed – on behalf of the Council of Ministers and in her own personal capacity – her deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the people of Spain.
