Dženana Šehanović is a talented BIH pianist, who received many awards, and whose talent is rare, reports FENA.

It is a real pleasure to enjoy and listen to her and her relation with the piano, and when you see Dženana and piano, you see love.

It all started with her birthday present when she was four, when she received synth which she really liked, and soon she started taking piano lessons which she at first did not like, but at the insistence of her parents, she continued with lessons, and with only 10 years of age, she passed the entrance exam at prestigious University Mozarteum in Salzburg but she did not start studying there due to great distance.

With 14 years of age she starts studying at the Music Academy in Zagreb, and with 19 she graduates from it, and she’s currently doing her PhD studies at the Music Academy in Sarajevo.

She said the first year was the hardest, because everyone was much older than her, and although she had initial troubles, she still managed to finish the Academy with excellent marks.

Although she was offered a job in Croatia, she refused it because she wanted to work and live in BiH, and she’s currently working in Tuzla.

With her talent she promotes the country she lives in, and hopes that many other young people would stay in BiH.

She’s also planning a tour with her colleague Goran Von Karekin and they will perform sevdalinkas.

Šehanović was born in Brčko in 1991, and her first music classes took in Germany, and when she returned to her country in 1997, she continued to study, first in Tuzla then in Sarajevo.

She has performed at numerous concerts in Europe and she also participated at the concert of The Council of Europe with both classical works and her own.

She won numerous international and state awards for her talent.
