Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic held a press conference where he spoke about the results of the implementation of the reform agenda. He said that at the level of the Council of Ministers, from 32 measures a total of 18 measures of the Reform Agenda have been implemented so far. Furthermore, Zvizdic announced that BiH will get an increase in export quotas for certain products within the adopted Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA).
“The Council of Ministers has implemented 53 % of the planned measures of the reform agenda so far, and the entity governments implemented a little more than 30 % of the activities planned by the agenda. Everything is adopted and implemented in the planned dynamics,” said Zvizdic.
Draft of the Law on providing free legal aid was adopted as well, and when it comes to information about the census of BiH, where the House of Representatives of BiH tasked the Council of Ministers of BiH to analyze the decision of the Director of the Agency for Statistics on the adopted methodology for processing of data of the census, it was agreed to consider this information at the next session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
“I want to note that the Council of Ministers has no order issuing jurisdiction on the Agency for Statistics, nor it can change the decision of the director. The law is clearly defined and it cannot be changed,” said Zvizdic.
At the session, the Council of Ministers appointed director of the ITA, and the old director Miro Dzakula was confirmed again.
Zvizdic announced initialing of the official protocol of adapted of the Stabilization and Association Agreement by the end of this month, emphasizing optimism of BiH negotiators.
“It should be kept in mind that BiH is likely to get an increase in the export quota for very important products from BiH,” concluded Zvizdic.
