The National team in sitting volleyball of BiH won second place at the World Cup in the Netherlands.
Our representatives fought very hard in the final match, but Iran was stronger and they won with the result 3: 0 in sets, and thus proved that it is the strongest team in the world led by Mortez Mehrzad.
This is the seventh title of the world champion for the team of Iran.
On their way to the finals, our players defeated Iraq, Egypt and Poland in the group competition, revenged for the defeat at the European Championships to Russia in quarter finals, and won against Brazil in the semi-finals with the score 3: 1.
Our representatives did not manage to defend the title of the world champions that they won four years ago in Poland. Besides their success in 2014, our representatives were the best in the world also in 2002 and 2006.
It should also be noted that Nizam Cancar was awarded as the best blocker at this championship.
