BiH’s Foreign Trade Deficit Reached 10.8 Billion BAM Despite Export Growth

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in ten months (January – October) of this year amounted to 14 billion and 161 million BAM, which is 5.7 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 24 billion and 957 million BAM, which is 4.6 percent more.

Coverage of imports by exports for the ten months of this year amounted to 56.7 percent, while the foreign trade goods deficit amounted to 10 billion and 796 million BAM, the BiH Agency for Statistics announced.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to two billion and 451 million BAM, which is 7.7 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to three billion and 83 million BAM, which is 9.1 percent more. Coverage of imports by exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 79.5 percent.

Exports from BiH to the European Union (EU) amounted to 10 billion and 446 million BAM, which is 5.9 percent more than in the ten months of 2024, while imports amounted to 14 billion and 513 million BAM, which is 2.3 percent more. Coverage of imports by exports to EU countries amounted to 72 percent.
