BiH’s Women’s Football Team to play a Friendly Match with Montenegro

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) women’s football team will play a friendly match with Montenegro.

The meeting is scheduled on January 18that 13:00 o’clock in the Training Center of the Montenegrin Football Association in Podgorica.

Football team selector Samira Hurem has called 20 players for this match, including: Envera Hasanbegović (SFK 2000 Sarajevo), Elma Kundić (Iskra), Melisa Hasanbegović (IK Grand Bodo, Norveška), Ajla Zukić (Lokomotiva), Alma Kamerić (SFK 2000 Sarajevo), Nikolina Vujadin (Lokomotiva), Valentina Šakotić (Radnik Bumerang), Amela Kršo (Emina), Aida Hadžić (SFK 2000 Sarajevo), Lidija Kuliš (Glasgow City, Škotska), Marija Aleksić (Ferencvarosi TC, Mađarska), Ena Taslidža (1. FFC Frankfurt, Njemačka), Anisa Alukić (FS Zurich, Švajcarska), Đula Velagić (Emina), Anđela Mitrović (Banja Luka), Milena Nikolić (SC Sand, Njemačka), Mejrema Medić (SFK 2000 Sarajevo), Minela Gačanica (Emina), Senada Muratović (Gradina) and Selma Kapetanović (SFK 2000 Sarajevo).

All players will gather on January 14that the Training Center of BiH’s Football Association in Zenica, where they will stay until January 16th when a departure for Podgorica is planned.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina women’s national football team have never qualified for the World Cup or the European Championship. The team is currently coached by Samira Hurem and captained by veteran Mersiha Aščerić.

Currently ranked 63rd by FIFA, the team plays their home games at the Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium in the city of Sarajevo, the country’s capital.
