Bevanda-Kreuz 03-04-13Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda met yesterday in Sarajevo with the Head of the Office for Eastern European and the Caucuses in the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of German Leo Kreuz.

Bevanda expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the German government and Kreuz during his work in the Ministry for Economic Cooperation of Germany and through the KfW (Kredit Bank for Development) and GIZ (Society for International Cooperation).

“You have followed the path of BiH for many years and you were always available when it came to the further progress of bilateral development cooperation that, during your leadership there was significant progress, both in terms of financial and technical cooperation. BiH citizens and the BiH Council of Ministers are very thankful to you because of that’’, said Bevanda in an address to a farewell meeting with Leo Kreuz.

Bevanda particularly highlighted the most important projects that were implemented or are in the final stages, and which are financed by funds from German funds.

These are, above all, the rehabilitation of the energy sector, water supply and canalization, wind farm Herzegovina-Mesihovina and wind farms in the RS.

Kreuz said that cooperation on the projects was particularly successful.

“In the last 14 years we have managed to find a path together and people who were ready to alighn their interests and to go through the realization of projects together that are important for all BiH citizens. This was an added motivation for us and for you’’, said Kreuz, who takes over responsibility of the Executive Director in the Inter-American Bank for Development (IBD) in Washington from 1 June.
