Vucko Trail, the largest trail race in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), will hold its jubilee, tenth edition from June 19th to 21st, 2026, on Bjelasnica and Visocica. The organizers expect the participation of more than 1.000 runners from over 30 countries, thereby confirming once again this year the strong regional and international character of Vucko Trail. Over three days of competition, participants will compete on five different courses, adapted to various levels of physical fitness and experience in trail running. The program includes races on courses measuring 105, 60, 40, 26, and 14 kilometers, which run through demanding yet attractive mountainous landscapes of Bjelasnica and Visocica.

Over the years, Vucko Trail has established itself as much more than a sporting race. It is an event that combines physical challenge with an authentic experience of the natural and cultural heritage of BiH. Participants run along routes that lead across mountain ridges, past medieval stecak tombstones, and through villages such as Lukomir, the highest permanently inhabited settlement in BiH, experiencing trail running in its original and most immediate form.

“The tenth edition of Vucko Trail represents an important milestone and confirmation of the continuity of this event for us. Our focus is on high-quality organization, participant safety, and the preservation of the natural environment of Bjelasnica and Visocica, while further strengthening the regional and international character of the race,” said Dalvin Kadiric, President of the Zeljeznicar Mountaineering Society, the organizer of Vucko Trail.

Registration for participation is open, and reduced entry fees apply within the early bird period until February 28th, 2026. After that date, regular entry fees will apply, while the final deadline for payment of the entry fee is May 15th, 2026, by 11:59 p.m.

Registration and payment of the entry fee are carried out via the online platform On Time Timing.

The Zeljeznicar Mountaineering Society, the organizer of Vucko Trail, is dedicated to promoting outdoor sports activities and preserving the natural environment. Founded with the mission of popularizing mountaineering and outdoor sports in BiH, through Vucko Trail, the society actively advocates for the development of tourism in mountainous areas and provides participants from around the world with the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Bosnian mountains. With each new edition, Vucko Trail further strengthens its position as an indispensable sporting event in BiH.
