The head of German diplomacy, Annalena Baerbock, spoke with the United States (U.S.) Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington.
The main topic of discussion was support for Ukraine, which continues its counteroffensive against Russian forces.
However, in one part, Blinken referred to the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
“I think it is worth emphasizing that we discussed the regional security in Europe, and especially in BiH. We greatly appreciate Germany’s leadership when it comes to limiting some financial flows to the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik, as well as joining and strengthening the EUFOR Althea program, and we discussed how the European Union (EU) can maintain the pressure on the actors who expose BiH to great risk, by using all the necessary tools and strengthening the ability of the stability mission,” Blinken said.
After Washington, Baerbock will go to New York, where she will attend the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
