The body of a meteorologist who had been searching for four days was found on Bjelašnica mountain today.
The meteorological station employee, 46-year-old Mirza Tucaković, went to the top of the observatory in the early morning hours of December 24 to take over his shift, but then disappeared.
That day, heavy snow fell on Bjelašnica mountain, followed with strong winds.
The lifeless body was found on the other side of the mountain.
The search operation involved teams from the Mountain Rescue Service of the Sarajevo Canton, the Federal Civil Protection Administration, the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, employees of the ZOI’84 and volunteers from the municipal civil protection services.
