Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Trade Deficit amounted to just over 8 Billion BAM

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign trade deficit amounted to just over 8 billion BAM last year, with an export coverage of 58.9 percent, the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics announced.

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina last year were 11.492 billion BAM, down 3.4 percent from 2018, while imports rose 1.2 percent to 19.498 billion BAM, according to Srna news agency.

Exports to the CEFTA countries amounted to 1.904 billion BAM last year, down 2.3 percent from 2018, while imports reached 2.42 billion BAM, up 3.9 percent.

The export-import ratio with CEFTA countries was 78.7 percent.

Exports to countries of the European Union amounted to 8.388 billion BAM last year, down 3.4 percent from 2018, while imports stood at 12.08 billion BAM, up 3.6 percent.

The export-import ratio with EU countries was 69.4 percent.
