Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Sefik Dzaferovic attended a high-level meeting named ‘’Freedom from Violence: Peace, Security and Conflict Prevention in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted by the United Nations (UN)’’ which was organized by the International Center Nizami Ganjavi and Italian Society for International Organization in Rome.

On the first day of the event, Dzaferovic and other participants of this high-level meeting were welcomed by Pope Francis in the Vatican, who also gave an appropriate speech. Pope Francis welcomed the holding of this event, emphasizing the importance of promoting peace through promoting dialogue and mutual respect.

During his talk with a BiH Presidency member, Pope Francis emphasized that BiH takes a special place in his heart. Dzaferovic thanked for the support BiH received from the Vatican, and especially for the support of Pope Francis.

‘’As part of yesterday’s visit to the Vatican, Dzaferovic also visited Vatican Archive, which featured a testament of the last Bosnian queen, Katarina Kosaca (Catherine of Bosnia), on the occasion of his arrival,’’ it was said from the cabinet of Sefik Dzaferovic.
