At today’s session in Sarajevo, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, considering the information on the continuation of assistance to the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit the Republic of Turkey and Syria, and in accordance with the needs expressed by the Turkish side as a priority, gave further instructions for securing all currently available resources.

With today’s conclusions, the government instructed the FBiH Ministry of Health, in accordance with its competencies, to coordinate activities with the cantonal ministries of health, three clinical centers in the Federation of BiH and the Turkish Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to form medical teams, which includes the necessary equipment for mobile teams.

For the purpose of providing medical aid, the Government will provide funds from this year’s FBiH budget to finance the material costs of medical teams going to Turkey, and the FBiH Ministry of Finance will prepare a decision on the allocation of these funds from the current reserve.

Also, the FBiH Directorate of Commodity Reserves has the task of securing 30 winter tents with wall coverings, each with an area of 20 square meters, and 900 winter sleeping bags to be sent to earthquake-affected areas.
