Bosnia makes Important Step for Export of Milk and Dairy Products to China

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Stasa Kosarac said yesterday that a completed revised questionnaire for the export of milk and dairy products from BiH had been submitted to the People’s Republic of China.

“The Veterinary Office of BiH, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and competent entity institutions, submitted to the Chinese side the answers to the added questions from the Questionnaire, which is the final step in the process of approving exports of milk and dairy products to the Chinese market,” said Kosarac.

According to him, in the next phase of this process, the arrival of Chinese inspectors in BiH is expected in order to control domestic capacities for milk production and processing.

“There is even a possibility that the export of milk and dairy products will be approved without the control of the competent Chinese inspectors, since domestic companies already export to the EU, which means that they meet standards and product quality to meet this demanding market,” added minister.

In the previous period, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, as he emphasized, intensified efforts to open the Chinese market for milk and dairy products from BiH, which will be an additional incentive for the development of domestic agricultural capacities.
