Almin Masic and his wife Merjema from the settlement Brnj near Kakanj are two hardworking young people who got married with the desire to support to each other and fight for their own existence together.

Both of them are persons with disabilities and both of them have hard working hands, creativity and great determination. A wheelchair or anything else is not an obstacle to their desire to fight with challenges.

They founded the company “Masic”, which received its first jobs very soon. They made 60 wooden calendars for their customer – Association of Employers of the Municipality of Kakanj “Center for Business Support”.

Almin produces everything that can be produced from wood. Its specialty are bee hives, but he also makes wooden tables, wooden kitchen equipment, as well as numerous other items made of wood.

He purchased a machine that costs 4.000 BAM and he now has to repay it. Almin and Mejrama were guests of Nermin Mandra, the Mayor of Kakanj. After he found out their story, the Mayor tasked his associates to do everything possible in order for Almin and Merjema to start their own registered small business.

The first realized phase was to assist them in the purchase of raw materials, they immediately started with the process of registration of their small business, the Municipality of Kakanj paid the registration fee, helped in the repayment of the machines, etc.

This young couple also has hives, kitchen accessories and other wooden products for everyday use in their offer.
