Spain’s Real Madrid, for which Bosnian basketball player Džanan Musa plays, won the title of European champion on Sunday evening. The Real team defeated the Greek Olympiacos 79:78 in the dramatic final of the Euroleague in Kaunas.

The first half was even, and the score after 20 minutes of play was 45:45.

Olympiakos basketball players had a six-point lead three minutes before the end (76:70), but Real overturned the result at the very end and became European champions for the 11th time in history.

The hero was Sergio Ljulj, who scored the key points three seconds before the end. Interestingly, those were the only baskets by Ljulje in tonight’s match.

Rodriguez was the most effective in Real Madrid with 15 points, while Tavares added 13. In the Olympiakos team, Vezenkov was the most effective with 29 points.

Džanan Musa spent a little more than 15 minutes in tonight’s final and scored six points. He also added one rebound and four assists.

By the way, eight years ago in Kaunas, Musa became the European champion with the cadet selection of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
