The famous Mostar bodybuilder, jumper, and worker in the Old Town, Ali Hamza Durakovic, passed away at the age of 30.

”He was a friend of many of our fellow citizens. The heroic act of saving the lives of tourists from the United States (U.S.) in the fifth month of this year, which Hamza carried out with Admir Delic Guma, will be remembered. They say that when you save one life, it’s like you saved the whole world. The funeral will take place today at 3:30 p.m. in the Sutina Town Cemetery. Mostar citizens will remember him as a brave man with a big heart,” Mostar forever Instagram profile wrote yesterday.

To recall, in May of this year, one of the tourists from the U.S. tried to jump from the Old Bridge and failed to swim out of the Neretva.

Mostar jumpers Admir Delic Guma and Ali Hamza Durakovic, who usually used to take tourists on a boat, heroically saved the young man, who had already lost consciousness.

The cause of death is not yet known, Klix.ba reports.
