Bosnian Student Marina Velickovic won a Scholarship of Bill Gates

MarinaVelickovicBosnian Marina Velickovic is the first student from our country who received a scholarship from the foundation of Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, and who will continue her education at the famous University of Cambridge.

According to the page gatescamridge.org, Marina is one of 55 students who were selected to receive this prestigious scholarship in a tough competition from all around the world.

As announced, the selected candidates have demonstrated academic excellence and they have become leaders in their fields of work.

“They are coming from all over the world, but they all have one thing in common: great leadership potential and dedication to improving the lives of others,” said Bill Gates, before he publishing the names of candidates who received scholarships.

Besides these 55 scholarships, Cambridge also awarded 35 scholarships to American students who were selected in January and who will come to study together at the prestigious British university in October.

In the explanation was stated that Marina Velickovic will do PhD studies in law.
