anesa kajtazovicA young Bosnian woman Anesa Kajtezović, a Parliament member of the State of Iowa, started a campaign for a seat in the U.S. Congress.

She was born in Bihać and she entered the Iowa Parliament when she was 24 years old and now three years later she started her ambitious campaign for Deputy in American parliament.

Before she won in Iowa, she was told that she is too young and she should wait for her chances. But she did not listen to them and continued the race for deputy of Iowa state and eventually won.

The situation is being repeated now that she wants to run for U.S. Congress. But Anesa says that she does not like to wait but to compete and to break all the records that she can. ”I do what I can – now and immediately”.

During meetings with representatives of the Bosnian community in the United States Anesa stated that she is not a child of a millionaire, but rather comes from the average Bosnian family who is trying to succeed in this country with hard work.
