Alenka_Bratušek“The focus of humanitarian assistance that we immediately provided now needs to be shifted on reconstruction f the country, rehabilitation of agriculture and helping children to return to schools,” said Prime Minister of Slovenia Alenka Bratušek in her opening address at the donors’ conference under the motto “Rebuilding together”.

She pointed out that it is the first time that such event is organized for two countries at once and that it is very important for the Western Balkans.

“All this has shown us that solidarity is an essential factor in the relationship. I want to emphasize that neither Slovenia nor other countries, organizations and institutions, should believe that they have done enough. It is necessary to work to improve prevention, preparation, response and recovery. This is what was lacking in the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and it is something that we must deal with,” said Bratušek.
