BrckoDeputy Head of the delegation of the EU to B&H Paul Schmidt said that the Brčko District is in front all other parts of B&H in the integration process, but that it also needs to work better on coordination and quality of the work of the administration.

He met with representatives of the executive and legislative branches of the Brčko District and presented them a report on B&H’s progress on its path to the EU.

‘’We have to better coordinate the work of representatives in Brčko District in various committees at the national level, intensify work on the detection and prosecution of war crimes and witness protection and to strengthen the fight against organized crime and corruption, said Schmidt.

The Mayor of Brčko District Anto Domić said that the District is ahead of most of B&H, primarily because of political tolerance and democratic respect for different opinions.

‘’It is very important for Brčko District to achieve progress towards Europe in adopting laws on the protection of the rights of children and improving the position of minorities, especially Roma minorities, added Domić.
