Britain’s King Charles III has been admitted to hospital for treatment of his prostate, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.
“The King was admitted to a London hospital this morning for scheduled treatment,” it said.
Last week, the palace announced that Karlo, 75, will undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate.
“His Majesty would like to thank everyone who has sent well wishes over the past week and is pleased to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness,” the statement added.
Charles was seen entering the London Clinic hospital on Friday morning with Queen Camilla.
He assumed the throne in September 2022, after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, AA reports.
His daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, who underwent abdominal surgery, is also staying at the London Clinic hospital.
