British Ambassador Will Mark the Start of 7th Sarajevo Sberbank Marathon

halfmarathonThe Ambassador of Great Britain to B&H Nigel Casey will mark the official start of the half marathon on Sunday, 15 September at 9:00 in front of BBI Center in Sarajevo.

By promoting a healthy lifestyle and the importance of sport, the Sarajevo half marathon has attracted the attention of one thousand participants from 25 countries, and the Association ‘Marathon’ is behind the organization. There will be around 100 volunteers this year for the 7th Sarajevo Sberbank marathon.

‘’The last preparations are underway and it is a special honor for us that Ambassador Casey will be a part of this event. This speaks of the quality and reputation of the race, which has been developing the image of Sarajevo for years as a desirable sports and tourist destination’’, said Erol Mujanović, Director of the Association ‘Marathon’ Sarajevo.
