Britney Spears marked two major life changes yesterday: her 43rd birthday and her official freedom.
According to new reports, Britney officially finalized her divorce from Sam Asghari on Monday. The singer met Asghari, a personal trainer and model, during the filming of her music video for Slumber Party, where he played the lead male role. The handsome model wasted no time after filming, taking the initiative to give Britney his phone number.
“It took me five months to call him. I thought he was really cute. Really, really cute,” Britney once recalled. She married Asghari, her third husband, two and a half years ago. Their wedding was attended by major stars like Madonna, Donatella Versace, and Paris Hilton.
However, after just a year, Asghari announced that the couple was separating. Media outlets reported at the time that Sam had confronted Britney with rumors of her alleged infidelity. While it remains unclear whether these rumors were true, Sam believed them, leading to significant disagreements and his decision to move out of their shared home.
Following their separation, Britney entered a turbulent relationship with gardener Paul Soliz, marked by scandals and breakups. The singer was seen in controversial situations on several occasions, such as leaving a hotel in her underwear, and emergency services had to intervene at one point.
