Brnabic: ‘Over 100 Signatures from Our MPs Support Referendum on Vucic’

The Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, stated today that the largest parliamentary group with more than a hundred signatures of MPs supports holding an advisory referendum with a question to the citizens – whether you are in favor of initiating the procedure for the dismissal of the President of the State, Aleksandar Vučić.

“Here are our hundred signatures, we are waiting for 67 signatures from the opposition. I hope that CRTA and those who commissioned the research, according to which Vučić does not have sufficient support from the citizens, do not just want to exert pressure and deceive. If the opposition does not submit signatures for this initiative, and they have not done so to this moment, it will only create additional tension and be their way of destabilizing Serbia,” Brnabić said at a press conference in the parliamentary hall.

She assessed that the advisory referendum is a democratic opportunity for the opposition to achieve its ultimate goal – to remove Vučić from the head of state.
