The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), despite the challenges caused by extraordinary circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, continues with regular activities in the field of international cooperation, and with the aim of stimulating academic discussion and with the participation of relevant domestic institutions, announces its third international research conference on Thursday, November 5, 2020, starting at 10:00 AM.
This year’s central topic is „Challenges for Central Banks in a Low-Interest Rate Environment“, and the discussion is planned to take place in two sessions. In the morning session, the focus will be on the transmission of the European Central Bank’s policy to the region, while a discussion on the effectiveness of monetary and fiscal policy in an environment of low interest rates is planned for the afternoon session. As in previous years, the panelists are colleagues from central banks and academia.
Due to the current epidemiological conditions in the country and the world, this year’s conference will be in a virtual format. In order to enable all interested parties to follow this conference, the CBBH will broadcast it live on its YouTube channel, and for those who will not be able to join during the conference, a video records of the entire conference will be available later.
The working language of the conference is English, and simultaneous translation will not be provided.
