Central Election Commission pronounced Pecuniary Fines in the Amount of 31,000 BAM

The BiH Central Election Commission has passed today decisions pronouncing pecuniary fines to certain political subjects and candidates.

It has been determined that the political subject Serb Democratic Party -(SDS-SRSRS-SRS) for the RS NA (Serb Democratic Party, Serb Radical Party of RS and Serb Radical Party dr Vosjislav Šešelj), is responsible for Nebojša Vukanović,  candidate of this political subject for the RS NA has:

a) on 28.09.2018 at Radio Gacko used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law,

b) on 29.09.2018 at a pre-election debate of the Alliance for Victory in Trebinje used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law,

Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, point 1 and by application of Article 19.9, paragraph (1), point j) of the BiH Election Law

1) for violation conducted on 28.09.2018 pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 2000 (two thousand Convertible Marks),

2) for violation conducted on 29.09.2018 pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 2000 (two thousand Convertible Marks), i.e.

A single pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 4000 (four thousand Convertible Marks) to be jointly paid by the members of the Coalition (Serb Democratic Party, Serb Radical Party of RS and Serb Radical Party dr Vosjislav Šešelj).

It has been determined that Nebojša Vukanović, candidate of political subject Serb Democratic Party -(SDS-SRSRS-SRS) for the RS NA has ,

a) on 28.09.2018 at Radio Gacko used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law,

b) on 29.09.2018 at a pre-election debate of the Alliance for Victory in Trebinje used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law, and in line with Article 6.7, paragraph (1), point 1) and Article 19.9, paragraph (4) of the BiH Election Law the following sanction is pronounced:

1) for violation conducted on 28.09.2018 pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 3000 (three thousand Convertible Marks),

2) for violation conducted on 29.09.2018 pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 3000 (three thousand Convertible Marks), i.e.

A single pecunary fine in the amount of BAM 6000 (six thousand Convertible Marks).

It has been determined that the political subject SDS-LIST (SDS-NDP-NS-SRS) (Serb Democratic Party, People Democratic Movement, Advanced Srpska- NS and Serb Radical Party dr Vosjislav Šešelj), is responsible for Dragan Mektić, candidate of this political subject for the BiH PA, using on 01.10.2018 at the Central Rally of the Alliance for Victory in Gradiška language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law. Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, point 1 and by application Article 19.9, paragraph (1), point j) of the BiH Election Law:

– pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 4000 (four thousand Convertible Marks) to be jointly paid by members of the coalition Serb Democratic Movement, Advanced Srpska- NS and Serb Radical Party dr Vosjislav Šešelj, in the amount of BAM 1000 each

It has been determined that Dragan Mektić, candidate of political subject SDS-LIST (SDS-NDP-NS-SRS) for the BiH PA has on 01.10.2018 at the Central Rally of the Alliance for Victory in Gradiška, used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law. Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, paragraph (1), point 1 and Article 19.9, paragraph (4) of the BiH Election Law

– pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 2000 (two thousand Convertible Marks).

It has been determined that the political party Alliance of Independent Social Democrats -SNSD is responsible for Slavko Mitrović, advisor to Milord Dodik president of RS, using on 04.10.2018 language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law. Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, point 1 and by application Article 19.9, paragraph (2) of the BiH Election Law:

–  pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 5000 (five thousand Convertible Marks).
