Safudin Čengić, the Director of Centrotrans Eurolines, confirmed today to FENA Agency that his company plans to establish a separate company that will deal with urban-suburban transport in Sarajevo Canton.

‘’Our company has around 55 buses that transport passengers in the Canton Sarajevo area, and we wish to create a company that will have as its only activity the transport of passengers in Sarajevo Canton Area in urban-suburban traffic’’, said Čengić.

The decision on the establishment of a new company, according to him, will be made at the meeting of shareholders of Centrotrans Eurolines, which is scheduled for 19th February.

Čengić had earlier pointed out that Centrotrans Eurolines has vehicles that can contribute to improving the functioning of urban public transport, among which are the 10 modernly equipped minibuses that are for a few months already been parked in garages.

In Centrotrans Eurolines, they still hope that this year it will enter into public transport in Sarajevo Canton, based on previous court decisions, the Competition Council and under existing laws.
