Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija, spoke today in Sarajevo with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, about BiH’s European path.

On this occasion, Chairman Tegeltija informed President Von der Leyen about the progress achieved in the process of European integration and emphasized that European integration remains a foreign policy priority of institutions in BiH.

He said that all political actors see BiH’s future in the EU, but that the accession process requires respect for the constitutional competencies of all levels of government and a broad political consensus.

During the meeting, Tegeltija welcomed the European Commission’s recommendation for granting candidate status to BiH and pointed out that it is an additional impetus for the continuation of reform processes in BiH.

On that occasion, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers thanked the President of the European Commission, Von der Leyen, for the continuous help and support to Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasized that the Council of Ministers remains a reliable partner of the European Commission.
