Chairman of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić will take part in the meeting of leaders of countries in the Western Balkans, which will be held on Thursday, 25 July in Slovenia.
The aim of the meeting is the exchange of experiences in reforms, and strongly advocating policies of continuing the enlargement of the EU towards Western Balkan countries, announced the BiH Presidency.
They will speak of bilateral and regional issues, opportunities for economic development of Western Balkan countries and improving cooperation in all segments, especially in economy.
In addition to the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, other participants include the Presidents of Slovenia Borut Pahor, Croatia Ivo Josipović, Serbia Tomislav Nikolić, Montenegro Filip Vujanović, Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov, Albania Bujar Nishani, and Ms. Atifete Jahjaga from Kosovo. The special guest is President of France François Hollande.
Chairman of BiH Presidency Željko Komšić will address participants at the plenary session that will begin at 11:00.
There will be addresses from participants, leaders of Western Balkan countries, and the President of France François Hollande who will speak on behalf of the EU.
This meeting is the result of the initiative of the Presidents of Croatia and Slovenia, and an agreement of leaders of the Western Balkan countries during the meeting in Zagreb on 1 July of this year, which included the participation of members of the BiH Presidency.
They agreed that the meetings would be held once a year with the participation of one leader of a country that is a member of the EU.
