Željko Komšić, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in BiH, John Ginkel, to discuss planned American investments in the country.
During the meeting, Ginkel briefed Komšić on ongoing activities related to the Southern Gas Interconnection and highlighted the strong interest of U.S. companies in the project. Komšić stressed that the initiative is of strategic importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina and underlined the need to seize this development opportunity.
Ginkel also noted that American companies are showing interest in other infrastructure and energy projects across BiH, adding that launching work on the Southern Gas Interconnection would send a clear message that the country is ready for faster development and construction. Komšić agreed, emphasizing that after years of political stagnation, Bosnia and Herzegovina urgently needs major investments in energy and road infrastructure that would benefit all its citizens.
