The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, received the ambassador of the Swiss Confederation in BiH, Daniel Hunn, for a farewell visit, whom he thanked for good cooperation, stressing that his very successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina significantly contributed to the improvement of bilateral relations.
Bećirović pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Swiss Confederation are developing very good and friendly relations, and that they have no outstanding issues. He added that both sides are dedicated to further improving cooperation, primarily in the field of strengthening economic ties and improving trade exchange.
“The Swiss Confederation is traditionally one of our most important partners in the world. In the post-war period, with 1.2 billion BAM in aid, it supported the reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today it monitors the development of our country through the implementation and support of development programs. In the 1990s, the Swiss Confederation accepted and successfully integrated a significant number of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we are very grateful for that help,” concluded Bećirović.
Through the defined Cooperation Strategy, the Swiss Confederation continuously supports Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Through the targeted methodology of development aid, it provides support for the improvement of public administration, healthcare, economy and employment, announced the Cabinet of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović.
