The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, in the presidential palace Vila Vodno.
Chairman Bećirović and President Siljanovska Davkova announced the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, and emphasized that the common interest is the acceleration of the EU admission process.
Siljanovska Davkova emphasized that North Macedonia will support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its EU and NATO path. She especially emphasized that she fully supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović said that improving interstate relations and strengthening regional cooperation are key to the stability and economic progress of the region. He emphasized that the strategic foreign policy goals of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are to join NATO and the EU.
Discussing the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, it was announced that additional efforts will be made to improve the relations between the two countries. The importance of deepening economic cooperation with concrete projects and initiatives that will contribute to the development and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia was highlighted. Among other things, the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, culture and sports was emphasized.
They discussed the relations between the two countries and today’s Summit within the framework of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Skopje. The new meeting between Bećirović and Siljanovska Davkova followed on Tuesday, June 11, when they discussed the relations between the two countries as part of the international conference in Berlin, announced the Cabinet of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović.
