Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, spoke today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nabila Abdelaziz Nasir Saeed Al Shamsi, about bilateral relations, which were assessed as very good, friendly and without open questions.
The officials established that negotiations for the conclusion of several bilateral agreements have been initiated and that the agreement on economic, trade, and technical cooperation between BiH and the UAE is in the phase of harmonization.
They stressed the possibility of improving economic relations, primarily in the field of construction, agro-industry, metal, electrical, military, and wood industry, in which BiH entrepreneurs could be competitive in the UAE market.
During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the liberalization of the visa regime, and the need to urgently enable a visa-free regime for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina when traveling to the UAE was emphasized, given that earlier the Council of Ministers of BiH made a decision that granted visa-free regime for citizens of the UAE when traveling to BiH.
They discussed the possibility of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina and the planned opening of the consulate general of that country in Sarajevo.
