In the next 15 days, Autoceste FBiH will prepare a proposal for new methods of collecting tolls on highways in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), which should result in lower costs for tolls for the use of highways.
As it was announced by the Association of Employers, this is the result of the meeting that the representatives of the Association held with Denis Lasic, the Minister of Transport and Communications of FBiH and his associates, and also Elvedin Voloder, acting director of the public utility Autoceste FBiH and their associates.
Also, it was agreed that after public utility Autoceste FBiH submits the proposal, a new meeting will be organized to discuss the proposed solutions.
This meeting is the result of an initiative launched by the Association of Employers of FBiH in mid-August, within which an urgent meeting was requested with the Minister of Transport and Communications of the FBiH and the acting director of public utility Autoceste FBiH with the aim of reducing the price of tolls on the highway by 20 to 25 percent in FBiH.
Based on the comparative legal analysis of the legislation of neighboring countries and European Union (EU) member statesmade by the Association of Employers of FBiH, it was determined that currently, tolls in FBiH are significantly more expensive than in neighboring countries and EU member states, Klix.ba writes.
