”The first delivery of cheese will be delivered on the market of European Union on Monday,” confirmed Željko Marijan, director of the dairy “Livno”, which is one of 4 dairies from B&H that have been granted to export milk in the EU, and the other 3 dairies are eagerly preparing to export their products on the shelves of EU market as well.
Željko Marijan explained that Croatian partner of dairy “Livno” requested the first shipment of cheese to be delivered on the very first day after approval.
”However, as we learned from previous experience when our contingent was stopped at the border, we postponed the first shipment until Monday, the 14th of September, in order for all these things to settle down a bit,” said Marijan.
Adin Fakić, director of the dairy “Milkos” from Sarajevo, said that they are expecting visit of their partners from Italy in the upcoming days to officially start the cooperation, and that they have designed new products as well, so they will start exporting to Croatia within next 10-15 days.
Kemal Hrnjić, director of the dairy “Meggle” from Bihać, said that the company is trying to prepare their products for export as soon as possible.
”We will try to use the synergy of our European sister companies. We are counting on the markets of Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia as well as the other countries of Western Europe,” said Hrnjić. Vlado Sandić, marketing manager of the company “Mlijekoprodukt”, said that they are currently working on creating orders and they expect to start with the export by the end of this month.
