Chinese Company Powerchina interested in the Construction of Corridor 5C?

Minister of Communications and Traffic of BiH Ismir Jusko attended a meeting with Executive Vice President of Powerchina for the area of Eurasia, Liu Gangciang, which was held in Sarajevo.

Minister Jusko introduced the Vice-President of Powerchina with the activities that the Ministry conducts when it comes to road infrastructure, as well as on the action plan for the upcoming period, and he especially emphasized the significance of the construction of Corridor 5C for BiH as well as other roads that are mentioned in the Framework Transport Strategy.

The Executive Vice President of one of the largest Chinese companies expressed the interest of Powerchina for participating in the construction of Corridor 5C, as well as other infrastructure projects in BiH.

He said that Chinese investors and companies are interested in different arrangements when it comes to the construction of road infrastructure in BiH, from concession contracts, through public-private partnerships and participation in international tenders, to construction and financing from project documentation to completion of works.

Minister Jusko also expressed the readiness of this ministry to ensure, within its competences, an equal status for investing in BiH to all investors with the aim of building infrastructure facilities of all types.
