Chris Dercon, the director of the most famous art gallery in the world, the London Tate Modern and one of the most capable people from the area of museum management, will hold a lecture for Sarajevo citizens on Saturday, 26 April at 10:00.
This unique visit will take place in an unusual setting. He will hold his lecture under the title ‘Everything can change’ in the large hall of the B&H Parliament.
With this gesture, the organizer of the visit, the theatre company East West Center, with the support of the British Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, are destroying the stereotype that the parliamentary hall is designed exclusively for politicians. In this style, a lecture of a distinguished guest will be articulated.
Tate Modern, with its nearly five million visits a year and 18 million users of its website, is a popular destination in London than any other shopping center.
How is this possible? Are museums expensive toys for the elite? Can the museum business be a lucrative one and can it generate income?
Chris Dercon will answer these questions through his lecture under the title ‘Everything can change’.
Entrance is free.
