Citizens of Kosovo to travel to Israel visa-free

Citizens of Kosovo will be able to travel to Israel starting May 5 this year without visas, announced Israel’s ambassador to Kosovo, Temi Ziv.

“In the week in which we celebrate the fourth anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries, Israel and Kosovo ratified an agreement on the abolition of visas. From May 5, citizens of Kosovo can travel to Israel as tourists without the need for a visa,” Ambassador Ziv wrote on the X social network.

Israel and Kosovo established diplomatic relations in 2021, and both countries marked this decision as historic.

The establishment of diplomatic relations between Kosovo and Israel was agreed in Washington by the agreement on the economic normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

After that, Kosovo opened an embassy in Jerusalem in 2021, but the European Union (EU) expressed regret for such a decision by Kosovo, bearing in mind that the status of Jerusalem for the EU has not been resolved.
