DEMONSTRANTI U SARAJEVU BLOKIRALI RASKRSNICU KOD HIGIJENSKOG ZAVODAThe Plenum of citizens of Canton Sarajevo, after extensive discussions on the six demands that were supposed to be sent to Canton Sarajevo institutions, adopted a proposal for these demands to be sent for further harmonization, because there were several new proposals by participants of the Plenum.

The first demand was for the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo to vote on a new mandatory, as well as to immediately schedule a meeting that would be in permanent session given the extraordinary circumstances.

Also, the demand was the immediate freezing of all processes of privatization in Canton Sarajevo indefinitely, as well as the dismissal of directors of all public companies in majority state ownership, public institutions, and the demand for the ‘abolition of discretionary funds of which individual ministers in the ministries of Canton Sarajevo manipulate’. It was therefore proposed to continue with these demands for the harmonization at the next Plenum, and working groups will work on defining new proposals.

When it comes to the Court and Prosecutor’s Office, the Plenum of the citizens of Canton Sarajevo suggested a review of the inertia of the Prosecutor and Judge, and the demand was for the Chief Prosecutor and her deputies in all departments to resign because they did not take and process a large number of criminal charges for organized crime, corruption and the like.

It was proposed that within 48 hours a report on the number of proceedings initiated against the responsible persons suspected of having committed a crime in the area of business and corruption be sent to the Plenum.

The request was to immediately announce a vacancy for the appointment of new judges and prosecutors that would be more efficient than the previous ones.

After the discussion, the Plenum decided that these demands would go into the finishing stage, and the legal group of the Plenum will listen to all suggestions of the citizens and redefine the demands.

It was pointed out that the protests would also take place today in front of the B&H Presidency at noon.
